Grilled Salmon with Black Bean Sauce

Makes: 1 serving

Ingredients:

4 (5 ounce) salmon filletsor 4 salmon steaks
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 Tbsps. chili black bean sauce
1/4 cup vegetable broth
1 Tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tsp. cornstarchdissolved in 2 teaspoons water
1 Tbsp. chopped cilantro

Cooking:

1. Rub salmon fillets with crushed garlic.

2. Place a nonstick grill pan over medium-high heat until hot. Add salmon, skin side up, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.

3. Place a saucepan over medium high heat. When hot, add oil, swirling to coat the bottom. Add garlic and black bean sauce, cook until fragrant about 30 seconds. Add broth and oyster-flavored sauce to saucepan; bring to a boil. Add cornstarch solution and cook, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens.

4. To serve, place fish on serving platter, pour sauce over the fish and sprinkle with sesame seeds and cilantro.
