DICING, CUBING, MINCING

First cut the ingredient into long sticks, then cut across the sticks perpendicularly to make cubes of the desired size. Usually in recipes, cubing means about 3/4-inch cubes. dicing about 1/2 to 1/4-inch cubes, and mincing about 1/16-inch cubes.
