Honey Glazed Chicken Wings
Makes: 6 servings
Ingredients:
12 chicken wings, cut each into 3 pieces (reserving wing tips for chicken stock)
3 Tbsps. honey
1-1/2 Tbsps. light soy sauce
1 green onion, minced
1 fresh red jalapeno chili, minced
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. five-spice powder
Cooking:
1. Preheat oven to 400˚F.
2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add wings and blanch for 3 minutes; drain. Pat dry with paper towels.
3. Place marinade ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Add wings and stir to evenly coat.
4. Spread wings in a foil-lined baking pan. Bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Turn wings over and continue to bake until wings are tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Serve hot.
