VEGETABLE SOUP WITH HAM

Ingredients:

Seasonings
2- tablespoons rice wine
1- tablespoon vegetarian oyster-flavored sauce
1- teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon white pepper

1/4 pound napa cabbage, chiffonade
2 cups vegetable broth
1-tablespoon julienned Sichuan preserved vegetable
1 green onion, cut into 2-inch pieces

1/4 cup julienned bamboo shoots
2 tablespoons julienned cooked ham
1 ounce dried bean thread noodles, soaked in warm water
2 yellow chives cut into 2-inch pieces

Cooking:

  1. Combine seasoning ingredients in a bowl; set aside
  2. Place cabbage at bottom of pot. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add preserved vegetables, green onion, bamboo shoots, ham, and seasonings; cook for 3 minutes. Add bean thread noodles and cook until heated through, about 1 minute. Add yellow chives and mix well.
