These are common ingredients found in local cuisine. You can find these ingredients readily available in your local supermarket.

BLACK TEA

Fermented black tea is dark in color, with a strong pungent aroma. It is allowed to ferment in the hot, humid air before roasting, giving it a deep, full-bodied flavor. Black tea has many uses it serves beyond a simple drink or cooking ingredient, it acts as a stimulant and a digestive; even as an eye wash! You can enjoy black tea when you are feeling tired and drained; it will re-energize you and give you a pick-me-up.

While green tea usually loses its flavor within a year, black tea preserves its flavor for several years. Store black tea in a cool, dry place.
