Chef Martin Yan

HONG KONG / MACAU

Hong Kong, meaning "Fragrant Harbor", is the culinary East meets West epicenter. This gourmet paradise gets its culinary influences from mainland China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, and Great Europe and beyond. Some of the top chefs from all over the world have come to work in this metropolis making its cuisine new and exciting; it is the epitome of innovation.

Macau's culinary tradition has been influenced by the Portuguese and the Mediterranean region. They also have a unique dining scene, where sipping on a bottle of inexpensive red with a classic Cantonese menu is the norm here. The traveler on a budget with a passion for good food and wine need not break the bank either. You will find ingredients of Chinese or Portuguese origin in most dishes.
